Another Friday without being paid…
I’m sure I don’t want to do anything on a Friday night, I work hard, I should be paid on time.Don’t you agree? I mean we made an agreement that I would be paid on a Thursday, Ive kept my end of this agreement by working everyday, why Is it so hard to pay me?
At 10am I might be tempted call a Strike of the “Shannon Likes being Paid” Union…
Theres a WHOLE lot more to this story but I think thats somewhere I shouldn’t go….
I’m sure as most of you may know I am a Computer Technician, and have been a Computer Technician since basically the time I left school. I’ve seen alot of things inside Computers, There is however one thing that above all other things the has to be most Disgusting that I have found inside a Computer:
Cockroaches, The little tiny ones.
They like to get inside Power Supply’s and Nest in the warmth. Now you see once there in the PSU theres really not much you can do it will eventually die, leaving behind a distinctive stink, not your standard fried electronics smell but a much worse one, in extreme cases I’ve seen Computers covered from top to bottom with Cockroach crap, and crispy fried critters, with a smell that could make you throw up from the other side of the room. 
Now a savvy Customer will get the problem once take some advice and deal with it, but when not dealt with swiftly it can become costly, very costly. Having to replace a Power Supply every time the buggers get in there can end up costing more than the computer is actually worth in the end. One case I’ve replaced the power supply in a computer about 8 times… You would think that this person would think there is something wrong there wouldn’t you?
So in closing, omfg people get rid of them I’m the poor sucker that has to clean em out of your computers. Take My advice when we give it to you! I don’t just say it for the sheer hell of it!
I probably should blog something considerable, but really can’t be arsed at the moment.
Went to the Drags at WSID on Saturday they were pretty sweet as usual, I’ll have a post about them… like… Tomorrow I guess. I gave my 400D a fairly good run taking about 350 photos in total, most came out pretty good. Gave me a real chance to get to know the settings and things alot better.
FragFest SpringLAN is this Saturday, really looking forward to catching up with some gaming buddies this weekend, plus its another decent photo op 
, and a chance to play some games I haven’t played in months.
Spose I should crash now, work tomorrow… Joy again…
…. What more can I say? I need a new job, Why I started back here I honestly don’t know. Things are just as bad or Worse than before, OK yeah I’m not stressed out like I was, but other things are starting to get worse and worse by the day.
I’m being pushed more and more to sell new computers, being put down when I don’t make a sale, its like school yard bullying in here at times, the Boss and other Staff Constantly second guessing my Work and Technical ability, What I went through TAFE for nothing? And My Experience counts for nothing? Am I supposed to read minds?
I Honestly did thing that things might have changed, but yet again I was wrong. My Boss seams more inclined to play some stupid Web MMORPG than actually do any work or serve customers.
What the hell? According to our little motivational sign “Customers are our world”, and are our most important asset , but somehow I don’t think this means anything to him, Not returning phone calls, not bothering to remember service calls.
To add to it all, Dodging the “XP Question” is becoming very very annoying…
Looks like I’ll be job hunting again…. Wish me Luck….
Well what a week, I’ve been cut back to 3 days at work so I’m only working Mondays to Wednesdays now, and yet I STILL had to come into work and stand around today (Friday for those ignorant to the day of the week) to get my pay, on the day I’m not even working… Right thats fair. I’m really starting to question why I went back there knowing full well that practically nothing has changed from before…. Live and Learn I suppose….
On the Job Hunting front, I’m still having bugger all luck, which is just great fun, I get the feeling I’ll have to get a new Job Sooner rather than Later right now.
In other news, I FINALLY got my K750i back from that shotty Phone shop at Rooty Hill, THREE WEEKS and I didn’t even get a QUOTE, let alone a PHONE CALL, about my phone in those 3 weeks they had it there, oh wells I still have to look into getting it fixed so I can sell it.
I think ill have to cut this rant short because I’m just so angry right now…. TBC…. Maybe….
One of the wonders of being a Computer Tech is cleaning the unholy amounts of Crap that people install onto there machines. I mean seriously how can anyone think that this many toolbars is a good thing?
Lets see what we have here:
Zango? MyWebSearch? When will people learn? Not to mention the machine was so clogged with spyware it could not even connect to the internet. Come on people, use your common sense. I mean these things are like contracting STD’s for your computer…
I swear I’ve been zapped by static at work about 30 times today, I mean I opened a cd rom tray this afternoon and got zapped ><. Stupid weather…. go static some stupid other person.
Well then, after last nights interesting comments from Elyse and Dean, Askimet has picked up about 9 spam comments in one evening, taking the count from 30 something to 44, new record for one days worth of spam, quite funny that.
I also had to delete that post you guys were using as a chat room because the last.fm code was being a whore.
I’m happy though i got my revenge on Elyse by calling here a Lunatic and writing comments backwards on her MySpace. hehehe.
Never Ever Ever Ever Ever connect with TPG Internet, for the last 2-3 hours I’ve had a connection for no more than 15 minutes solid without it dropping out, I’ve honestly lost count of amount of times it has dropped out today, this would have to be the 20th time at least, in the past 3 hours, Not to mention this afternoon when it first started to play up.
There service has just become beyond substandard, In the past few months we’ve been plagued with dropouts, hours and hours of downtime, times where My modem full stop refused to connect to there pathetic service. And on top of that it seams the more I actually download the slower and less reliable my connection becomes. I’m sitting just over 16GB of my 25GB cap. So hmm You Explain it.
I bet even people with Dodo get a ADSL connection that actually STAYS connected for more than 3 minutes at a time.
So tomorrow Internode is getting a call. GG TPG You have lost yet another customer… ADSL 2+ here I fucking come with bells on.
Well this is for the people who say they spend hours and hours playing World of Warcraft for the “Social” aspects of the game..
